Print Matters!

So many associations have gone from printinBLFMg and mailing their serial publications to distributing them electronically only. This transition to electronic-only publications started several years ago and continues routinely today.

Obviously I am biased in this area, growing up in a printing company family, but I think the question needs asked of how many members are now reading that same publication that you have spent so much time creating. Are your members hitting that "delete" key the minute the email comes in announcing that publication is available? 

Then along with that reduced readership, are you losing possible advertisers that pay for that publication to be distributed and even more importantly are you losing members because now the membership is missing the mailed publication and may not even realize that it is available to them  online.

Personally I enjoy getting "worthwhile" mail and end up taking that same mailed publication on a plane ride, which better assures that I will be reading it instead of hitting that "delete" key and missing out.

So in my opinion, PRINT DOES MATTER!
